Photo Caption: Afghan widows make local bread at a bakery set up by the World Food Programme (WFP) in Kabul, Wednesday Dec. 8, 2004. There are about 90 bakeries in Afghanistan, where mostly war widows are working and offer subsidized bread at a price three times less than on the market to poor Afghan families. Each woman earns 2,000 Afghanis about ($45) per month.
